Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) is waste consisting of everyday items that are consumed and discarded such as food wastes, yard wastes, containers, product packaging and inorganic wastes such as newspapers and clothing.
Turmec offer comprehensive engineered recycling solutions catering for a wide range of tonnages of MSW Waste. Our innovative designs require minimal labour input when in operation, this, combined with a reduced plant footprint due to an intricate design provides an excellent solution for any MSW Plant, whether it is a new build or an upgrade. Turmec integrate equipment from market leading suppliers in waste separation technology to produce a high quality separation process along with a substantial percentage recovery. The separation process can target client specific materials; these would typically consist of organics, ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, dense plastics, plastic film and paper/card. This separation process will reduce or eliminate the need for landfill.
Reduce or eliminate the need for landfill with our comprehensive engineered recycling solutions catering for a wide range of tonnages of MSW Waste
Turmec can also offer a full Mechanical Biological Treatment (MBT) package as a solution to your waste treatment requirements. This comprises of a front end Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) with a composting facility for the organic fraction and segregated residual. The compost is created in the composting process over a period of time where it will be then passed through a back end clean up plant which produces a Compost Like Output (CLO).
Turmec was the first recycling plant manufacturer in Ireland to design MSW plants in 2005 and our years of experience and innovative design solutions means an MSW recovery rate of 99%. In other words, this means that you save on labour and costs by only having to process the waste stream once.
Possible plant upgrades for further processing include: Refuse Derived Fuel/Solid Recovered Fuel RDF/SRF, Compost-like Output (CLO), and Fines Clean Up.
