Athboy and Ráth Chairn hosted the 2019 Leinster Fleadh, attracting around 30,000 visitors to the area, and Turmec was proudly sponsoring the event.

It was Meath Comhaltas’ turn to host the Leinster finals of the competition in 2019 and one of the main reasons Rathcairn and Athboy were chosen was the very strong community and Comhaltas here and Turmec being one of the main business in the region, operating from Rathcairn since 1972, couldn't stay out of the celebrations, proudly sponsoring the main dance competition spaces.

The 2019 Leinster Fleadh, brought an exciting week of events, workshops, competitions, concerts and much more, that offered something for everyone, from musicians sharing their talents in nightly sessions, a series of 'Maidin Café' sessions, historical tours of the area, children’s summer camp and a pop-up Gaeltacht, amongst others, all organised locally by a committee of volunteers.

“We were delighted to be part of this brilliant initiative, a huge boost for the whole county and the promotion of the Irish language and culture in general”, said Paraic Griffin, Turmec Operations Director.
